Bio
Anne Pebley received her Ph.D. in sociology from Cornell University in 1980. She spent 14 years at Princeton University as professor of demography and international affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School and as associate director of the Office of Population Research. She is currently the Bixby Professor of Public Health at UCLA. Her research specialties are social demography, social determinants of health and mortality, and family and children's welfare.
