Biography
Leo S. Morales was an Associate Professor in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA when he conducted his RCMAR/CHIME Pilot Study in 2002-2003. He received a medical degree and Masters of Public Health from the University of Washington and a doctorate in philosophy from the RAND Graduate School. He completed an internship and residency in primary care internal medicine at the University of California at San Francisco. He is a past recipient of a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Harold Amos Career Development Award and a Robert Wood Johnson Health Policy Investigator Award. Since July 2009, Dr. Morales has held an investigator position with Group Health Center for Health Studies in Seattle, Washington. His research interests include Latino and immigrant health, disparities in healthcare, and cross-cultural survey research methods including the application of advanced psychometrics.
