Biography
Mignon R. Moore, Ph.D., is assistant professor of sociology at UCLA. She completed her graduate work at the University of Chicago and is a past Ford Foundation postdoctoral fellow through the University of Michigan’s Poverty Research and Training Center. Dr. Moore is a recipient of a 2008-2009 CHIME/RCMAR Pilot Study Award.
Dr. Moore is the recipient of several honors including a past Visiting Scholar position at the Russell Sage Foundation in New York, an early Faculty Career Award from the Woodrow Wilson Foundation, and a national award from the Human Rights Campaign for her professional work and outreach with LGBT communities of color. She serves on various editorial boards and is a board member of the University Consortium for Sexuality Research & Training sponsored by the Ford Foundation. Her website address is:
